Maharani Rameshwari Lata Sanskrit College, Darbhanga is a constituent unit of Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, Darbhanga. It was established by Maharajadhiraj Pandit Rameshwarsinghjee in the memory of his wife on the 13th of July 1907. The time was Ashadh Krishna Dwitiya. The college is registered under 12 (F) and 12 (B) of UGC. The college was awarded a B grade by NAAC. Higher Education in Sanskrit is facing a dual challenge. On the one hand, there is a need to carry on the great tradition of Sanskrit learning and on the other hand, there is the need to make it more and more employable To make quality higher education in Sanskrit available to all is a task in which our college is making a constant effort. The college gives top priority to learner-centered activities like counseling, Parent-Teacher meeting collection of feedback, etc. The college is ragging free and CCTV covers the whole campus. Library is rich with books useful for students, teachers, and researchers. NSS activities Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat sports and cultural activities like Tarang and Eklavya have been organized and more and more students are encouraged to participate in it.

History of College
The college was established by Mithila Naresh Maharajadhiraj Pt. Rameshwar Singh Ji on 13 July 1907, accordingly, on the name of Ashada Krishna Paksha, in the name of his wife. It is registered under Section 2 (F) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act 1956. Naik 'B' grade is a cognized unit of Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University.
His purpose behind the establishment was that he himself was the patron, philosopher, and philosopher of oriental learning, as well as the Sanskrit idolise. On the strength of Sanskrit knowledge, his ancestors and the founder of Raj Darbhanga
King Pt. Mahesh Thakur received the Mithila kingdom as a donation in 1557 AD. Therefore, the preservation and promotion of Sanskrit learning was his main vow.

Dr. Sir Kameshwar Singhji, son of Maharajadhiraja Pt. This college, Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, is the only integrated college situated in the south-east direction, 1 kilometer from Darbhanga headquarters. This u G. C. is registered under Section 2 (F) and 12 (B) of the Act 1956 and has grade (B) in NAC assessment. Consequently, the path has been paved for the all-round development of the college, while continuing its ancient glorious tradition, the college has been constantly enterprising to make its educational and administrative system dynamic and quality.
